Empowering Society Through Erudition, Community, Leadership, and Benevolence.

Project 1866 is a grassroots umbrella organization committed to academic equity, societal empowerment, and regional uplift, with a strategic focus on communities in Louisiana and throughout the American South. Operated independently by Rhiana Thomas, Project 1866 encompasses a range of advocacy and development projects—each designed to address systemic barriers through education and access to resources.

The Providence Campaign is the philanthropic subdivision of Project 1866™, integrating faith-based principles into its community work. As its flagship initiative, TPC provides individualized tutoring, educational mentorship, custom learning tools, and professional development support. Through this initiative, learners strengthen academic foundations, deepen intellectual curiosity, and cultivate the skills and character needed for responsible, engaged citizenship. TPC also assists individuals and families in identifying, understanding, and navigating community resources and public support systems.

Message From The Founder
